We all did stupid things in the name of love back in secondary school but my own top am o.
I graduated high school without a sweetheart, e shock you? E shock me too😂😂
But there was this boy I met in SS2, chai omalicha! I had just transferred from another school to one in Akwa Ibom so I could write WAEC free and met my childhood friend there.
We began to do everything together, gist, gossip, talk about our previous relationships (on her part o) and then, she told me about this boy she was crushing on, a handsome fair guy in science class and a striker on the school football team. I gisted her about mine too, he was dark, handsome o and walks like a girl and the worst part? He was in art class with me. Everything he did in class I’d challenge him so he’d notice me but to no avail, I tried making friends with him na. Being a sharp girl I shot my shot before anyone else and this boy had the temerity to turn me into his typewriter. ‘Ejit, please complete my government note for me na, my English note is not complete too, I wasn’t in Literature class please trans copy the note for me…’ Blah blah blah! I had turned into a house girl just like that, it got to the extent that other classmates were noticing. They were like, ‘Ejit the class captain’s wife, his government note is not complete o’. I got so depressed I consulted my friend and she told me to write a letter expressing my feelings so she could give it to him. I wrote it o and gave it to her, the foolish girl carried the letter to be playing ‘noti’ with him. A teacher called the boy, got the letter from him, read it then dragged me and the boy to our class.
‘Dear sososo’ he read (no mentioning of people’s name here 🙄)
‘I have been admiring you and want to be your girlfriend, let’s meet behind the assembly hall during break. Signed Ejit’
The man brandished his cane and flogged the love out of me, as for the boy he fared no better, he was busy dancing awilo while he was beaten while I danced sanko.
